schoolchildren in Darlington will soon be able to reprimand their elders in public.
A "respect" poster competition will be held across the borough's schools - with the first prize a stint in the town's new talking CCTV control room.
Last week, it was announced nine of the town's cameras were to have speakers added by the end of the month. Controllers will tell people to pick up their litter, and defuse aggressive situations.
The competition's winners will take a place in the control room for one day later this year.
Louise Casey, the Government's respect tsar, said: "We all pay council tax, so in the end we all pay when our communities are disrespected - both in our pockets and our daily lives."
