A SCHOOL near Darlington has been awarded three certificates to celebrate its role in the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT).
There are 2,695 specialist schools and academies in the country and the latest tables put Hurworth as the 29th best in the country.
In the league of schools with the highest value added score, Hurworth is ranked 52nd in the country.
The school is one of just 34 schools across the country that have qualified for all three of the clubs run by the SSAT.
Chief executive Eamonn Farrar and headteacher Dean Judson have been running school improvement conferences around the country.
In the past few weeks they have delivered conferences to more than 150 delegates in Newcastle, London and Manchester.
They are soon to travel to Germany to run a two-day conference to 50 delegates from forces schools abroad.
