THERE are a lot of bald men in a Darlington supermarket this week.
Managers at Sainsbury's, in Victoria Road, joined in a sponsored head shave and leg wax on Saturday, in aid of Comic Relief.
Duty manager Harry Brown had his locks removed by checkout supervisor Lewis Glancey.
Other managers sat in a bath of beans, and there was karaoke and a Strictly Come Dancing competition.
Jen Bartle, store manager, said: "Our colleagues always love getting in to action when it comes to charity - especially when there is fun to be had."
Meanwhile, beauty students are preparing for a marathon charity hush in aid of Comic Relief.
NVQ hair and beauty therapy students at Darlington College will hold an eight-hour sponsored silence on Friday, to raise more than £500.
College tutor Rochelle Sharpe said: "Knowing how they all like to talk, it's going to be really difficult for them to stay quiet."
