New signing Grame Armstrong netted two of Darlington’s four goals before the break as they swept aside Northallerton Town 5-0 in Tuesday night's friendly.
Amar Purewal put Quakers ahead inside the first minute before a brace by Armstrong, the former Whitby striker, sandwiched an eye-catching goal by new midfielder Tom Portas.
Liam Hatch rounded off the scoring in the second half.
Darlington’s next friendly is on Saturday at Heritage Park against Sunderland’s first team, a match for which there remains tickets available. They are on sale at Blackwell Meadows which is open 10-1 on Friday and 9-11 on Saturday.
