A VOLUNTARY organisation in Darlington has named its new chairman.
Ian Scott has been elected as chairman for The Friends of West Park Hospital.
Since joining the group, Mr Scott has been involved in setting up and updating its Communigate website, promoting the summer fair and fundraising.
He said: "The voluntary group has been going for two years now, and financially we have improved upon the previous year.
"This is thanks to the dedication of our members and the support that we receive from the general public whilst fundraising and the staff within the hospital."
