AN information forum offering advice and information for landlords will be held in Darlington.

Darlington Borough Council and the National Landlords’ Forum (NLA) will host the joint event on Thursday, May 16, from 1pm to 5pm, at The Studio in the Dolphin Centre.

The event will give local landlords the chance to meet housing officers from the council, representatives of the NLA and to network with other landlords.

There will also be a series of presentations about tax information, advice on managing tenancies, and the challenges and opportunities facing private landlords today.

Members of the Darlington and District Private Landlords association will also be available to discuss membership opportunities. Chris McEwan, Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet member for policy and regeneration, said: “This forum is an ideal opportunity for landlords to get together and share any concerns, ideas and their best practice.

“I am delighted that the NLA has chosen Darlington as a venue for this and encourage all local landlords and anyone considering becoming a landlord, to come along and take advantage of the knowledge and experience on offer.”

The event is free and open to all landlords and anyone thinking about becoming a landlord in the Darlington area.
