Each month, The Northern Echo highlights one of the many dogs looking for a home at the Dogs Trust, in Sadberge, near Darlington.

MEG and Tess are two middle-aged Jack Russell terriers looking for a new home that will see them through their old age.

Staff at the Dogs Trust say they are both friendly characters, fully housetrained and could be left alone for a couple of hours, if needed.

Ledean Lawson, from the trust, said: “Although slightly older, Meg and Tess are still energetic terriers. Meg enjoys playing with her toys and both girls really enjoy their walks.

“They are both very friendly dogs with lots of love to give. They enjoy each other’s company and even snuggle up together in the same bed.”

As Meg and Tess have lived together in the past, the trust is looking to rehome them together.

Their ideal home would be adult only and they are not keen on interacting with other dogs so they would need to be the only pets in the home.
