CYCLISTS will have the chance to get their bikes checked out for free at this weekend’s Darlington Sunday People’s Market.
Bike mechanics from Bike Stop, in Skinnergate, will be offering free bike check-ups for cyclists at the market, which is being held from 11am to 4pm in Northgate and High Row on Sunday (May 5).
Darlington police will also be offering free bike marking to combat bike theft and allow the return of bikes that have been stolen.
They will be joined by Darlington Neighbourhood Watch Association who will be recruiting new members and offering SmartWater for the reduced price of £10.
There will also be a number of stalls from businesses across the region, face-painting for children and Punch and Judy shows by Professor Brian Llewellyn.
