THE organisers of a fair that aims to highlight environmental issues say they hope the event will offer something for everyone.

The Green Fair will take place in Darlington’s South Park on Sunday, May 12, and will include birds of prey, live music on the bandstand and a chainsaw sculptor.

The annual event, open between 11am and 4pm, will have a number of interactive activities to encourage the whole family to consider the environment and make small changes to their lifestyles.

Chris Lloyd, deputy editor of the Northern Echo, will also host a walk looking at the historic parts of South Park at 1.30pm from the Clock Tower.

Experts will be on hand to discuss sustainability, recycling, renewable energy, energy efficiency, health and wellbeing issues and much more.
