AN energy company has apologised to Darlington residents affected by a power cut in the early hours of Monday (April 29) morning.
About 180 properties in the Neasham Road area of the town were affected by the power cut at 12.30am.
A spokesman for Northern Power Grid said: “We would like to apologise to our customers affected by the power cut in the early hours.
“We were able to restore electricity within the hour by switching supplies.”
He said the power cut had been caused by an underground cable fault.
