THE Borough Road History Forum project is looking for volunteers to share their stories and knowledge of the area in and around The Forum Music Centre (formerly known as Brunswick Street Board School, Borough Road School and Music School) which constitutes Parkgate, Borough Road, Brunswick Street, Freemans Place and any old streets now demolished and the surrounding area. The project will be researching the heritage of the building, the community history of this area and compiling an exhibition and gallery of the findings for public and community use. Anyone who would like to be part of this project or share any information or photographs is invited to attend a drop-in session at The Forum Music Centre, in Borough Road, on Monday, April 29, from 6pm to 7.30pm. FASHION SHOW: A fashion show being held at The Northern Echo Arena, on Friday, April 12, at 7pm, will feature a range of stalls, a raffle and refreshments. It is being held to raise funds for the Tiny Lives and Sick Children’s Trust charities. Tickets cost £7.50. Call 07970-327-027.

JUMBLE SALE: A nearly new and jumble sale will be held at St Mark’s Church Hall, in North Road, Darlington, on Thursday (April 11), at 1.30pm. Admission is 20p.

SPRING CLEAN: Residents of South Terrace, Darlington, got together to give their street a spruce-up on Saturday (April 6) morning. They filled several bags with litter and planted snowdrop and crocus bulbs.

BOOGIE NIGHTS: Fans of 70s music can enjoy Boogie Nights, which is being staged at Darlington Civic Theatre from Monday (April 8) to Saturday (April 13).
