THERE is still time to take the plunge and join in this year’s Swimathon at the Dolphin Centre.
The event, over the weekend of April 27, will be the tenth annual charity swimathon where individuals and teams can set their own challenges or swim set distances of five kilometers, two-and-a-half kilometers or one-and-a-half kilometers.
This year the Dolphin Centre has entered its own team of staff members and Councillor Nick Wallis, cabinet member for leisure, called on the Darlington community to get involved.
He said: “Every year Darlington swimmers come out in force to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Support.
“I urge everyone to join in this year to make the Dolphin Centre’s tenth Swimathon the best ever.”
The closing date for entries is Wednesday, April 24 at 11.45pm; email info@swimathon.org or visit www.swimathon.org
