GREASE is the word for students at a Darlington school as they prepare to take to the stage with a modern classic.
A cast of more than 40 at Darlington School of Mathematics and Science (DSMS) have been rehearsing for months as performing arts at the academy goes from strength to strength.
The curtain rises on Grease on Tuesday (December 18) at 7pm for a two night performance of the 90-minute spectacular.
Head of music at DSMS Jol Loughlin said: “The students have been absolutely brilliant and have been particularly good working under pressure. They have all seen the movie and know all the songs.
“We have some staff taking part and you can see them being caught up in the students’ enthusiasm and excitement. They can’t wait to get on stage.”
Doors open at 6.30pm; tickets cost £2.
