STARS of Darlington’s glamorous pantomime came together to boost a charity Christmas present appeal this week.
The Salvation Army toy appeal is in its 35th year and aims to ensure poverty-hit children do not have to endure the heartache of going without presents at Christmas.
Members of the public are asked to donate unwrapped gifts for all ages, non-perishable food items or cash donations to help those in need.
For the past 14 consecutive years, Jennings Motor Group has supported the appeal by using its branch network across the region as drop-off points for staff and members of the public.
Captain Colin Bradshaw, from the Darlington branch of the Salvation Army, met with cast members of Sleeping Beauty, which is being staged at Darlington Civic Theatre until January 20.
It stars husband and wife team Linda Lusardi and Sam Kane, as well as former Pop Idol contestant Zoe Birkett.
For tickets, call 01325-486555 or visit darlingtonarts.co.uk To donate to the appeal, call 01325-380994 or email darlingtonsalvationarmy@hotmail.co.uk
