MEDICAL and veterinary students are being offered the chance to swap their North-East base for Caribbean climes 4,356 miles away from home.
St George’s University, in Grenada, will open their pre-medical and pre-veterinary degree programmes Teesside University students to link the two institutions together.
Professor Paul Croney, Teesside University’s vice-chancellor and chief executive, said: “As an international university with a worldwide reputation for excellence, Teesside is delighted to establish this link with St George’s and enable our students to gain a high-quality medical or veterinary degree at a prestigious institution, whilst gaining invaluable overseas study experience.”
