A HOUSING association raised £2,500 for charity at its annual golf tournament.
The money has been donated to the Olive and Norman Field Charity, which uses income from invested capital to pay for services or facilities to assist the recovery of people who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm.
Sixteen teams competed in the tournament at Romanby Golf Club, staged by Northallerton-based Broadacres Housing Association.
George Wimpey North Yorkshire won the Broadacres Cup, with Aqua Interiors finishing a close second.
Broadacres' chairman, the Reverend Brian Mayne, presented the £2,500 cheque to charity trustee John Pelter.
Mr Mayne said: "Broadacres is very happy to be able to assist the charity, which can make such a big difference to the lives of local people."
Mr Pelter said: "It gives me great pleasure on behalf of the trustees of the Olive and Norman Field Charity to accept this generous cheque, which will be used to help people in need in the areas of County Durham, Cleveland and North Yorkshire."
