WILLINGTON residents will be offered the chance to shape their town's future at a meeting this week.
The Willington Town Plan is launched on Wednesday, at 7pm, in the Methodist Hall.
The Community Partnership is urging people from Willington, Oakenshaw, Sunnybrow and Page Bank to attend and give their views on how they want the area to develop and improve.
They can also suggest ideas for a questionnaire which will be distributed as part of the consultation process.
A resulting document will include an action plan for the area and will reflect people's priorities, identify key facilities and services, set out problems which need to be tackled and show how distinctive characteristics and features can be conserved.
Partnership chairman Brian Myers said: "It is vital that we seek as wide a spread as possible of public opinion at every stage of the process in order to produce a town plan that is truly representative and inclusive."
