GERMAN discount supermarket chain Aldi is preparing to open a new store.
The store, in a former Kwik Save, in Front Street, Consett, will start trading on Thursday, November 16.
Manager Keith Bailles said: "The Consett store is one of our new-concept stores, which is bigger, brighter and simpler to shop in."
It will be open Mondays to Saturdays, from 9am to 8pm, and on Sundays, from 10am to 4pm.
