A 46-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was trampled by cows this lunchtime at Romaldkirk, near Barnard Castle, County Durham.
The man, from the Halifax area, was flown by the Great North Air Ambulance to James Cook Univesity Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Ambulance personnel were called to the scene shortly after noon and found the man had suffered multiple serious injuries, including to his head, back, arm, chest and abdomen.
He was treated at the scene before being the 12 minute flight to hospital, where he was admitted to a speciality treatment unit.
