NORTH-EAST X-Factor hopeful Amelia Lily Oliver was left speechless on Sunday night after failing to make it through to next week’s show.
The 16-year-old from Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, fought back tears after being told she was not in judge Kelly Rowland’s final three.
Asked how she was feeling by presenter Dermot O’Leary, the teenager was unable to speak.
However, there were some comforting words from mentor Rowland who described her as having an “incredible voice”.
“You’re all going to see her everywhere,” she added.
Amelia Lily, who turns 17 on October 16, won her place in the live shows after impressing Rowland and US star Jennifer Hudson in Miami with her version of the Katy Perry song Extraterrestrial.
The teenager performed a rocking version of Billie Jean on Saturday’s live show.
