A 27-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court this morning charged with murder following the death of a 22-year-old from severe head injuries.
Lee Lockwood, 22, was found injured at a house in Greencroft Walk, Park End, Middlesbrough.
It is believed that he suffered the injuries on Wednesday night and was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough on Thursday morning. He died later that day.
Flowers and tributes have been left at a nearby park on Overdale Road, while a tribute site named R.I.P. Lee Lockwood has been set up on social networking site Facebook.
Paying tribute her son, Valerie Field said: “Lee was the greatest and best son anyone could wish for. I just want to thank all my family and friends for their support.”
Cleveland Police confirmed last night that a 27-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder had been charged and is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court this morning.
