A WOMAN has been arrested in connection with an accident that caused rush-hour delays on the A66 this morning.
The 27-year-old driver of a blue Renault Megane was arrested for taking a car without the owner's consent and failing to stop after an accident.
The car collided with a blue Audi A6 at around 8.40am on the westbound carriageway of the A66 near to Teesside Park.
A 37-year-old woman, who was in the Audi, was taken to hospital for precautionary checks, but her injuries are not believed to be serious.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Cleveland Police on 01642-326326.
