The house on Formby Close, where the man died
A MAN has died after a fire at a house in the early hours of this morning.
Police officers on patrol raised the alarm after spotting the fire in Formby Close, Hartlepool, at about 5am.
A 20-year-old man, who has not yet been named, died after becoming trapped.
Two other people needed treatment at the University Hospital of Hartlepool for smoke inhalation after escaping.
Police say the cause of the blaze is not yet known.
