CHRISTINE RAMSAY is researching her maternal family history, on the name Kingsley.
Her great-grandfather was John William Kingsley, born in Great Langton, near Northallerton, North Yorkshire, in 1874. He had a brother Arthur and sister Mary.
Arthur spent all of his life in the Bedale area, and married Margaret. They had two children, Charles and Joyce. Joyce got married to a man named Addison in Bedale in 1963.
Mary had a son, Arthur Osman Kingsley, born in Middlesbrough in 1900.
