A NEW company has been launched with a roar.

Talib Kadhim and Sarah Tyson have created an interactive lion for a website for national charity Talking Hands, which helps deaf children.

The duo set up the business Back2Front Animation, in Stockton, combining their skills to offer both computer-generated images and model making.

Rose-Ann O'Malley, from Talking Hands, said: "We were really excited by what Back2Front Animation could offer and it really makes our website interesting.

"The lion is fantastic, and I can't wait to see the finished model. We are going to run a competition for the children to name him once the website is complete."

Creative director Mr Kadhim said: "Animation studios usually concentrate on one or the other, but we think that by offering both we can give businesses something different."

They are currently working on ventures for TV and film.
