A MAN has been arrested following the unexplained death of a woman on Christmas Day.
Ambulance crews were called to an address in Billingham, Stockton, at about 8.30pm on December 25 to treat a patient in her thirties.
The female was taken to University Hospital of North Tees where she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "We are treating the death as unexplained and are conducting a house to house enquiries in the area."
A postmortem will be held later today.
A man has been arrested in connection with the death.
