POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for help in catching burglars who sprayed liquid in a householder's face when they broke into his house.
The 53-year-old man and his wife were confronted by two men who burst through the door of their home in Frank Avenue, Seaham, at 1pm on Friday May 19.
They sprayed the man with a liquid that made his eyes red and sore - although police say he suffered no lasting damage - and demanded to know where the safe was.
