POLICE are investigating the death of an 18-year-old man from Lingdale, East Cleveland.
The man was admitted to James Cook University Hospital on Wednesday, December 15, but died in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained and post mortem examination is due to take place on Monday.
"A local man aged 48 has been arrested on suspicion of the supply of Class A drugs in connection with the incident. He is currently being questioned by police.
"A number of searches are taking place in the Lingdale area at Scarth Close and Pease Close in connection with the investigation."
Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the man's death and anyone with information is asked to contact Redcar and Cleveland CID on 01642 326326.
