SWIMMERS in Northallerton are being offered free access to the pool to raise money for a national charity.
Hambleton Leisure Centre is offering limited access to for people who want to take part in the annual Aspire Swim the Channel challenge.
Each entrant is asked to swim the equivalent distance of the English Channel - 22 miles or 1408 lengths - in the swimming pool in aid of the national spinal cord injury charity.
Regular swimmer Anna Burnley, who took part in last year's challenge, said: "Being able to make some money for charity at the same time as keeping fit is really rewarding. And having the support of the swimming pool staff made achieving the challenge even easier."
Application forms are available from Hambleton Leisure Centre.
Free admission to the pool will be given during the daily lane swimming sessions for the duration of the challenge, which takes place between September 11 and December 3
