THE most powerful tractor in Europe will be trudging through fields in the North-East this weekend in a vintage vehicle rally.
Big Bud - the 27-tonne prairie monster - is owned by Mike Scaife, from Yearby, near Guisborough, east Cleveland, and is the only example of its kind in Europe.
The machine will be on show at the 13th Vintage Vehicle and Engine Rally, run by Redcar and Borough Cleveland Council, at Kirkleatham Museum, in Redcar.
Also on show will be a GMK 5100 all-terrain crane, vintage and classic cars, stationary engines, monster trucks and remote-control cars.
To add to the excitement, there will be fairground rides, street and drama entertainment, a craft fair and trade stands.
Rally organisers yesterday made a £200 donation to this year's chosen charity, the Great North Air Ambulance.
The attraction opens from 10.30am until 4pm, on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is £2.50 adults, pensioners £1, and accompanied children go free,
