ONE shopper will win £200 in vouchers just for parking their car this week.
The car park at the Prince Bishops Shopping Centre, in Durham City, has been declared crime-free for the seventh consecutive year, and presented with the Park Mark accreditation by the Association of Chief Police Officers.
To mark the occasion, the centre is running a week-long competition, which started yesterday, in which one blue parking token is hidden among the thousands of yellow chips given out to drivers on entering the car park.
Whoever finds the blue token will win £200 in shopping vouchers to be spent at the centre.
Stuart Taylor, centre services manager, said: "We are delighted to have been rewarded again for keeping our customers' vehicles safe and secure.
"We work ever so hard to ensure we follow methods of best practice and have security officers keeping watch 24 hours a day on CCTV and operate regular patrols."
