A FAMILY is offering a £50 reward to help recover two missing puppies worth £2,000.

Diesel and Princess, two Dog du Bordeaux aged 12 months and 11 months, were seen being put into a green Peugeot estate in Collingwood Street, Coundon, near Bishop Auckland, on Wednesday morning.

They were being looked after at a relatives’ home but had been let out of the garden by someone.

Owner Sarah Herron, of Laurel Gardens, Crook, says her son, Lewis Pickering, aged six, and two-year-old daughter Leona were left upset by the puppies’ disappearance.

Police believe Diesel and Princess were stolen.

Diesel has a distinctive white line of hair which runs from the top of its head to its nose.

“I think they have been stolen. If anyone knows anything that could help us find the dogs, I hope they get in touch,” said Ms Heron The reward will be paid for information leading to the conviction of the people responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Durham Police on 0345-60-60-365.
