GOATS, geese, Guides and Gordon Highlanders are some of the attractions at a museum’s agricultural show today.
Beamish Agricultural Society Annual Show recreates a country show from the early 1900s with a few contemporary twists at its property, near Stanley, County Durham. Farmhand Neil Young was on hand yesterday with his border collie, Jasper, rounding up geese ready to take to the museum, near Stanley, County Durham.
Events will take place until Sunday, with pony and horse shows, a craft tent featuring spinners, weavers, matters and quilters.
Birds of prey flying displays will be staged on Saturday and Sunday.
Cooks are invited to enter a raspberry jam class on Saturday, with classes for making plain scones and a handmade white loaf on Sunday.
