CHARLOTTE NICHOLS set up her own PR company, Harvey and Hugo, after working for an agency and realising how inaccessible and expensive PR and marketing could be to small businesses.
From that experience, Harvey and Hugo was set up to offer a pay-as-you-go service, with no contracts, and the promise of a refund if no coverage is gained as a result of its services.
Harvey and Hugo has been in business since September, and in that time has expanded into its own offices, and has taken on a full-time member of staff, with another appointment expected to be made soon.
It has numerous clients from a diverse range of sectors.
Miss Nichols said: “Although I set up in business in the middle of a recession, instead of being put off, I thought, ‘What better time to do it.’ I love the Harvey and Hugo brand and have big plans for it.
“I am very ambitious, and would like to have a few offices around the UK within the next six years. I do have growth plans in place, and while I know it’s often not good to grow too big too fast, I am quite impatient and do want to see things happen quickly.”
