THE Mayor of Stockton will put her foot in it when she opens a town's first children's centre.
A day of activities is planned for the opening of Footsteps Children's Centre, in Ochil Terrace, in Billingham, on Monday at 9.45am.
To link in with the Footsteps theme, the Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Suzanne Fletcher will join children and staff and have her foot moulded in clay, for models to be placed around the garden.
Throughout the day there will be music and entertainment with the Bread and Butter Theatre Company, a road safety show featuring a surprise guest.
Bernie the SureStart Bear and friends will also be around to entertain the youngsters, and there will be music from local primary schools.
