The match of the day is between champions Esh Winning and leaders Kimblesworth - who went to the top of the table for the first time last Sunday.

They jumped five places with victory over Brandon and lead Esh, who were deposed from pole position, by six points.

Esh's game at Ushaw Moor was one of four postponed and a day earlier they suffered an unexpected first defeat of the season, when Shildon won a high-scoring game by just one run.

Esh attempt to return to the top is strengthened by the inclusion of Eddie Watson, while under-15 player Michael Oughton retains his place.

Kimblesworth, who with eight wins have secured more victories than any other side, are unchanged and will be hoping that captain Stephen Meek maintains his excellent form with the bat.

Third-top Evenwood face Mainsforth and, after reaching the semi-finals of the League Cup on Wednesday, will attempt to keep the pressure on the leading pair.

They hope to field a strong line-up but Mainsforth are forced to make one change as Nigel Miller is unavailable. Danny Hooper is his replacement.

Ushaw Moor and Willington are in the race for honours and the outcome of their game will be critical to both.

Willington have Karl Brown available while the visitors, attempting to secure their eighth win, have enjoyed a good season.

At one time Tudhoe were a leading team and Shildon perennial strugglers but the tables have turned and it is the home side who are struggling second from the basement.

Tudhoe have managed just two wins while Shildon, buoyant after defeating Esh Winning last weekend, are in the unaccustomed position of being mid-table after securing five victories.

Unfortunately, they have to make a change since Phil Frenay cannot play

Etherley, who prop up the table with just one victory, miss a trio of players for their bottom three clash at Brandon.

Michael Crane, Shaun Rudd and Chris Tweddle are all unavailable. James Petrie and Scott Salter fill two of the vacancies. Scott Hopson is doubtful for Brandon and Stephen Brook stands by to replace him.

Langley Park visit Crook Town.

There will be no games in The Surridge Sport Durham Coast League this weekend.

The programme was cancelled because England play Sri Lanka at the Riverside today and England face Ecuador for a place in the last eight of the World Cup.
