A YOUNGSTER is jumping for joy after he won his third trampolining competition seven months after he started the sport.
Craig Anderson, 12, from Turnberry, Ouston, near Chester-le-Street, won the grade four under-15s competition at Brierton Sports Centre, in Hartlepool.
He attends St Leonard's Comprehensive School and is a member of the Louisa All Stars at The Louisa Centre, in Stanley.
He was given a trampoline for his birthday and trains daily. His latest success follows wins in the region in January and March.
His mother, Angela, said he hoped to train other young people when older.
She said: "When he first got the trampoline, I said he had to take lessons for safety reasons because I thought it would be dangerous.
"He had been pestering me for ages and he loves everything about it.
"Craig has a natural talent for it and they asked him to join the club.
"He has done really well and I am very proud of him."
