NORTH-EAST DJs will join big-name counterparts at a dance festival next month.
The event, at Durham Student Union, will take place on Saturday, July 15, and features DJs such as Lisa Lashes and Galaxy FM's Streetboy.
Alongside them will be up-and-coming mixers such as Gary Storey and Davy Copping, from Crook, County Durham, and John Fazak, from Bishop Auckland, also County Durham.
The night has been organised by Special K Promotions, which is run by Kev Mangles and Kelly Talbot.
The Coxhoe company used to run coaches to club nights such as Creamfields, but has now begun to hold events. There will also be street artists and other attractions.
Mr Mangles said: "It is so hard to get a breakthrough. I am giving the lads a chance to get out there."
The festival is from 5pm until late. Tickets are £15, from the union or on 0798 433 6329.
