A MAN has scored a hat-trick of Internet triumphs after helping three websites to award-winning success.

Stephen Gill has helped to create three sites that have been named Communigate's Pick of the Month.

Mr Gill's latest project is the Rockliffe Park Cricket Club site, which he created and maintains.

He has also created websites for the Friends of Eastbourne Park and Darlington Sports Winners Scheme, which have won the Pick of the Month accolade in the past.

Mr Gill, from Darlington, has been presented with a Praktica digital camera for his work on the Rockliffe Park website -www.communigate. co.uk/ne/rpcc

Communigate is a free web-hosting service run by Newsquest North-East, which owns The Northern Echo.

Mr Gill said: "I feel as though I have scored a hat-trick, as this is the third website that I have had a hand in creating that has been selected as a Pick of the Month.

"I have helped create sites for other groups around the Darlington area, and two of them have gone on to receive the award, but this is the first time I have actually received it myself".

Karen Maughan, Communigate's community web editor, said she was not surprised that other sites by Mr Gill had also received Pick of the Month awards.

She said: "Stephen puts a lot of effort into making the sites he creates look attractive and work well.

"I know he has had a hand in helping quite a few groups get online in the past, so it is great that he's finally received the recognition he deserves."
