A FOOTBALL fan's World Cup dream is being offered by a pub - seats at the front, free beer and bar staff on call to deliver it.

The winner of the pre-match raffle at the Bay Horse, in Catterick Village, North Yorkshire, will receive two seats in front of the television, free drinks and a whistle to summon the bar staff.

The lucky fans will also get free food at half-time.

Landladies Jill Chadwick and her sister, Ruth Lowe, have labelled the seats near the flat-screen 42in plasma TV the "director's box".

Mrs Lowe said: "They're the best seats in the house - right in front of the telly.

"We decided to run a raffle because we didn't want someone coming in early before each match, planting themselves down at the table and hogging it.

"We're big football fans and we can't wait for the World Cup to start."

The director's box will be used for all big matches during the tournament, which kicks off two weeks on Friday with the hosts, Germany, taking on Costa Rica.

Fans will be issued with a free raffle ticket when they buy a drink before each game.

One ticket will then be pulled out and the winner will be able to sit with a friend in the box.
