THE new mayor of Ferryhill is asking for help in choosing his charity.
Councillor Ron Greenwell, from Dean Bank, Ferryhill, has recently taken over from Councillor Julie Bainbridge.
He has chosen Macmillan Nurses as one of the charities he will support during his term in office.
But he is also asking Ferryhill residents to nominate charities for him to support.
Anyone who wishes to nominate a charity can do so by writing to Karen Emerson, Ferryhill Town Council, The Town Hall, Ferryhill, County Durham, DL17 8JL.
