FUNDING of nearly £80,000 may be invested in a hostel for youngsters in Thirsk.
The Endeavour Housing Association is hoping to create a young persons' supported housing project and base it in the Broadacres Housing Association's hostel for the homeless.
Hambleton District Council agreed to give Broadacres £79,200 to provide flats on the site in 2004. But the work was never done and now Endeavour is looking to take on the site and its lease with the council.
The council's cabinet is to discuss the issue on Tuesday and recommends giving the lease and money to Endeavour.
