A SAILING club is to hold an open day to encourage more people to get involved in the sport.
The Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club is to hold an open day from 11am to 5pm on Saturday, June 3.
Visitors will be able to try their hand at sailing or wind-surfing or just watch the action on the water.
Those wishing to sail or windsurf should bring old trainers and a change of clothes.
The club is located on the north shore of Derwent Reservoir, near Consett, and is most easily reached via Blanchland and Carricks Country Park.
