A SCHOOLGIRL will compete in a national final after winning a North-East talent contest.
Hayley McKay, 14, from Hurworth, won the 14-and-under age category in the Festival 4 Stars competition, which was held in Newcastle.
The Hurworth School student sang Colours of the Wind from the movie Pocahontas in front of a panel of judges.
She will now go on to the final, to be held in Glasgow in November.
