AN 18-YEAR-OLD chef has dyed her hair pink to brighten up a charity event when she will lose her treasured locks.

Natasha Williams will be raising money for Cancer Research UK when she shaves her hair.

Natasha, from Darlington, will cut her long-flowing hair during a beer festival at the Baydale Beck Inn, Low Coniscliffe, where she works.

She said: "My hair is pretty long. A couple of my friends have been diagnosed with cancer and a member of my family died from cancer.

"I was going to do a sponsored bungee jump to raise money but one of my friends said to cut my hair.

"It will be the first time I have had no hair. I am a bit anxious about it and looking forward to it."

Natasha has already raised £600 ahead of the show.

Friends will cut off her hair on May 27 at the festival. There will also be live bands and a bouncy castle at the event.
