IT'S all or nothing for Hartlepool United tomorrow - and Joel Porter knows what he is expecting.

Victory for Pool, coupled with a win for MK Dons at Rotherham, would keep Paul Stephenson's side in League One for a fourth successive season.

Anything less and League Two beckons.

A haul of four points from their last two games, against Nottingham Forest and Brentford, has given Pool a lifeline they intend to make the most of.

And Porter, outstanding in the win over Forest, said: "It's three points or nothing now.

"Just like the last two weeks we will be going out for the three points and playing our own style.

"We have been a pretty dominant force at home recently, apart from the Bristol City game a couple of weeks ago.

"Hopefully the fans will come out in force and a capacity crowd will be a big lift.

"The supporters at Brentford were fantastic. They gave us a lot of backing and it definitely helped us towards the end.

"When we eventually got the goal it was great for them. If we can get that sort of crowd again on Saturday, it would be great."

With Port Vale safe from relegation, Porter is hoping they have one eye on their end of season holiday.

"It is the last game of the season and they haven't got much to play for,'' he said.

"Sometimes teams can really turn up in that situation while at other times it's as though they can't be bothered.

"It depends on the way they are feeling but it also depends on how we start as well.

"If we start well, like we did against Nottingham Forest, then hopefully we will get a grip of the game and they will start thinking about their holidays!''

Darrell Clarke will be missing tomorrow after being concussed last week at Brentford. Skipper Micky Barron trained yesterday and Pool will assess the reaction today. He needed a dozen stitches in a head wound last week.
