CLEVELAND'S Terry Bywater insists Great Britain men's wheelchair basketball team do not fear world No.1s Canada at this week's Visa Paralympic World Cup.
Bywater was a key figure in last year's dramatic gold medal showdown against Australia but Canada's participation this time around has raised the bar.
The Paralympic Games' champions beat Britain 70-54 on Tuesday in the pool matches and will meet this morning in the medal deciders.
And Bywater said: "They are a great team - that's why they are number one in the world - but we don't fear them.
"We've got a young and inexperienced team at the moment but we are getting better with each game.
"We tried a lot of different things against them and they only beat us by 16 points - we can turn that around.
"It was a superb display and if we can move that on we won't be far away."
Bywater has again been in top form in Manchester. He hit 27 points in the 54-49 win against Sweden on Monday and added 19 to his tally in the defeat to Canada despite sitting out the first quarter.
But Bywater added: "The only thing I'm concerned about is the team. We're desperate to win again and if we cut out the mistakes we can."
