A farm shop will be opened by William Hague, MP for Richmond, on Saturday.
The Lakeside Farm and Country Cafe, at North Farm, Ellerton, near Scorton, is owned by Graeme and Sarah Thompson, who have taken on nine full-time and 15 part-time staff.
Mr Hague will also start a fruit tree planting project and, from 1pm, an afternoon of tastings from local suppliers will be held.
The shop, which is open every day except Mondays, is on the main road between Scorton and Kiplin Hall.
