A NORTH-East hairdresser has denied murdering a casino boss in a frenzied knife attack.
Dean Wood, 28, pleaded not guilty, via video link, at Leeds Crown Court today to the killing of Barry DeLacy, 62, of York Place, Leeds.
The court heard the divorced father-of-one died from multiple stab wounds inflicted during a frenzied attack.
Mr DeLacy, who was area director for A & S Leisure group, was found dead at his 500,000 flat on February 3.
The court heard CCTV footage and a video of the scene were being examined by experts ahead of a trial on July 10.
The Recorder of Leeds, Judge Norman Jones, ordered that the defendant, of High Street South, Langley Moor, Durham, be further remanded in custody.
There was no application for bail.
