A FORMER call centre manager has started her own complementary therapy business.
Gil Flynn has set up Croft Holistics, which she runs from converted premises at Sheppards Croft, School Aycliffe, County Durham.
She employs a range of therapies, including applied kinesiology, which detects physical and psychological imbalances of energy flow throughout the body and can be used in the treatment of aches and pains, fatigue, anxiety and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Business Link County Durham provided support to enable her to train.
She said: "The financial support I received from Business Link has allowed me to progress from the status of an advanced practitioner in kinesiology to the diploma.
"This expands the range of treatments and therapies I can offer and it will allow me to increase my client base to cater for those with more complex problems and needs."
Mrs Flynn also received Business Link support to train in seated acupressure massage and secured a start-up grant to help equip her consulting rooms.
